Blood Pressure is Rising

I need to get some medication from my doctor to get myself through this election cycle. Today I had an argument, before lunch, with a guy over health care. Well, before long there were a few people in the room. Four of them sort of tag-teamed against me while a few of my liberal friends watched. I argued with these guys for about 30 minutes and found that it was entirely fruitless. From their savvy, yet obvious mixture, of fallacies, diversionary arguments, and ad hominem attacks they were able to walk away feeling pretty good of themselves.

I part of me was soothed on the way home by one of my favorite songs. I think we have all felt this way at times:

Guster, Demons,

My words confuse you
My eyes don’t move a blink
Cause it’s easier sometimes
Not to be sincere
Somehow I make you believe
Believe
When I speak I cross my fingers
Will you know you’ve been deceived?
I find a need to be the demon
A demon cannot be hurt
Honest is easy
Fiction is where genius lies
Cause it’s easier sometimes
Not to be involved
Somehow I make you believe
Believe
When I speak I cross my fingers
Will you know you’ve been deceived?
I find a need to be the demon
A demon cannot be hurt
When I speak I cross my fingers
Will you know you’ve been deceived?
I find a need to be the demon
A demon cannot be hurt
When I speak I cross my fingers
Will you know you’ve been deceived?
I find a need to be the demon
A demon cannot be hurt

And Google has a fun logo up right now to celebrate their 6th birthday and possibly an anniversary and perhaps even Stephanie's birthday.
