Reduced Confidence

Juan Cole links to a recent poll showing less than 50% of Americans believe a stable, democratic Iraq is a possible outcome of this debacle.

Thus far it has been a colossal waste of human lives, time, economic resources, and confidence in our leaders, and it seems poised to only get worse.
