In a few hours I will leave Buffalo. Thankfully nothing killed me and I had a good time. I do miss the familiar sights of home though.
After the art museum, on Saturday, we went to a festival in downtown Buffalo called the taste of Buffalo. A lot of local restaurants set up little tents and sell samples of their food for a few tickets. There were hundreds of tents and even more types of food you could try. All you had to do was buy about ten dollars worth of tickets, and you would be able to have a great meal. I ended up full after getting garlic chicken, pan fried garlic bread, six cheese bow-tie pasta, and ice cream with fresh stawberries on top.
The taste of Buffalo was packed and we had to race to get out of there, because we planned on seeing the new Harry Potter movie. We actually got into the theater just as it was starting, and we couldn't really see where any open seats were so we sat in the very back under a yellow light. The movie itself was still really enjoyable. I think that Curon did a great job with making a more mature feeling HP movie.
Finally, yesterday we went to a free jazz in the park event. We took our books and a blanket and read, napped, and enjoyed a nice afternoon. Then we went to dinner at a Mexican food restaurant that had a really bad server. Later we met up with Jen again and got a couple beers.
That was what I did in my vacation at Buffalo.
