For a Dollar in 30 Minutes or Less

We knew that rising gas prices (and prices of other foods) would result in increases to the consumer it was just a matter of when. It seems that Dominos is the second of the major pizza companies to experiement with ways to offset the gas price increases.

In Washington D.C., the Dominos restaurants will charge a dollar if you want the pizza delivered.

I wonder when this will move on to other cities?

For the past several years, I recall that Pizza Hut has been charging us $1.50 per delivery. I'm not sure it was gas-related but there's been a delivery charge for a while. They also charge if you're going to write a check but not if you pay cash.

Yeah, I saw that Pizza Hut started doing it. I'm not sure people in Texas would pay for delivery of pizza if the place is just a few blocks away. Everyone here has vehicles and there is free parking all around. It's not much of a burden to drive.
