US CD sales actually increase!

I only have a couple comments to make about this growth in album sales:

US CD sales rose by 2.3% in 2004 - the first rise in four years - despite the growing popularity of legal digital music downloads.
The CD format still accounts for 98% of the 666 million albums sold, according to research company Nielsen Soundscan.

A total of 140 million digital tracks were legally downloaded last year, equivalent to 14 million albums.

666 million albums sold, eh? I sense a contract with the devil involved in this growth.

The article also mentions the top five albums of the year:

1. Usher - Confessions
2. Norah Jones - Feels Like Home
3. Eminem - Encore
4. Kenny Chesney - When the Sun Goes Down
5. Gretchen Wilson - Here for the Party

I wouldn't even download those albums for free...

I have a suggestion for you. www.audioscrobbler.com

It's great - and results in two personalized radio station - one based upon the music that you listen to, and another based upon the music that people who most closely share your musical interests listen to. You should try it:-)
