Petty Futility

Professor Bainbridge, in a real headscratcher titles a post, "Petty Partisanship" and then cites Fox News.

Despite my joy at his cleverness it was not meant as irony. He was citing Fox News as authority. Why do you let me down wine drinking professor?

Then to further delve into the nonsensical, Bainbridge joins in a serious debate about whether Tolkien would be "liberal" or "conservative." Presumably these people with a lot of time are adjusting things to Tolkien being a present day American. Bainbridge is livid than anyone could think Tolkien would have a heart.

And law students across the country wonder why it takes law professors upwards of two to three months to grade a 1 to 3 question essay, when undergrad professors can do the same work in two weeks. Wonder no longer...
