There is all sorts of chatter around the newspapers, in state legislatures, the Congress, and on blogs about a current emergency in undocumented aliens. There no doubt is a problem but how does one deal with this problem?
You can't have a massive scale deportation, unless you want a country that resembles Hitler-era Germany a little too much. There simply is no way for a civilized nation to do that. However, solving the problem is more than just trying to correct the effects of the problem. That will necessarily involve the Congress stepping up and making some changes.
What is going to need to happen is Congress must provlde a legal mechanism for large-scale immigration. There really is no time left for Congress to ignore what is happening.
