Turn Your Head and Cough

Unfortunately I was told that I have a hernia that will require surgery. No more Spring Break. No more fun times. The knife is going to find me. Anybody know anything about this operation or how long the recovery is for a 25 year old. I have to meet with the specialist in early March.

how does one get a hernia? does it stick out? ha?

it will be ok - i have had two surgeries in the last couple of months and both times I was ok within a week.

You set the mark for skillful recovery! I will hope for a speedful recovery.

Thankfully nothing sticks out but I know it sometimes does. It is just really uncomfortable and it happened suddenly. Ugh.

I think hernias are partially hereditary, but I'm not sure what the other causes are. I actually had a double hernia operation when I was 2. Hopefully I won't have to have another when I'm 50.
