Besides, there is a specific kind of fun to be had by being icily polite and civil to your dearest enemy. Feel free to call them names and froth at the mouth in private, but be cool and cordial to them in public. If nothing else, it will confuse them, and isn't that worth something?Is manners merely a facade or are manners an important part of who you are?

What about manners?
I was trying to come up with the top five reasons dating never works out too well, so that I could post something witty. As per the usual, I gave up after a minute or two of contemplation. Thanks to The Enthusiast I'm curious what Mr. Baude thinks of the Gothic Miss Manners suggesting that good manners is more of a facade.
