Case Trying

So after sitting for a couple days on a case it ended up with a plea bargain agreement. The judge sort of forced it because he didn't want to make a decision in this bench trial. He knew it was a close call and probably didn't want to say not guilty. He also knew that my client didn't deserve 25 years for possession of pot, which was the minimum.

Instead we worked out a plea for 2 years. This beat the previous offer by 6 years and beat the minimum by 23 years. However, it lost to a not guilty by 2 years.

Oh well.

Congrats to you and your client. Btw, I meant to say that if that realtor thought *we* were a couple, he must have thought I was a pretty lucky guy to have a boyfriend who was so much younger than me. :)

p.s. i really don't remember how i found your blog. Every once in a while i go on a webhunt, to keep my skills honed. If it's any consolation, i think it took 20 - 30 minutes.
